[ARCHIVED] SYVT Rider Courtesy

Rider Courtesy. Lets work together to ensure every ride is a smooth journey.

In an ongoing effort to enhance the SYVT riding experience, we are excited to introduce a series of rider courtesy tips aimed at educating and engaging the Santa Ynez Valley community. By adhering to these simple guidelines, we can collectively ensure a safe and pleasant journey for both drivers and passengers, while reinforcing the bus as a dependable and eco-friendly travel option.

  1. Seats are for people, not your belongings. Keep seats clear for other riders.
  2. Leave us off the conference call. If you have to talk on the phone, keep it short and keep it to yourself.
  3. The aisle shouldn’t be an obstacle course. Keep the aisle clear so people can get around.
  4. Throw it out before it gets ugly. Take your trash off the bus when your ride is over.
  5. Don’t block the doors. Let customers off before you board.
  6. Keep your feet off the seat. Keep your feet on the ground to allow other customers to sit.

These rider courtesy tips are not just guidelines; they are an invitation to join us in creating a culture of respect, kindness, and courtesy. Together, we can make SYVT buses a place where everyone feels safe, valued, and excited about their journey. Santa Ynez Valley, let's continue to ride responsibly and build a stronger, more respectful community on our public transit system. Thank you for choosing SYVT.
