We’re thrilled to share that Solvang has been nominated in two categories for the 2026 USA TODAY 10BEST Readers’ Choice Awards:
Best Small Town in the West
Best Small Town Food Scene — and we want your vote!
Last year, our community came together and delivered amazing results — Solvang was voted #1 Best Small Town in the West and also finished Top Five for Best Small Town Food Scene!
Now it’s time to raise the bar even higher. With your daily votes through March 30, we can come together once again and celebrate the small-town spirit, vibrant downtown, and incredible culinary scene that make Solvang so special.
Vote once per day in each category and encourage friends and family to do the same!
To ensure the safety of Solvang's drinking water supply and comply with updated State regulations, the City of Solvang will be conducting a system-wide hazard assessment as part of its Cross-Connection Control (CCC) Program. This effort will help the City minimize potential pollution and/or contamination risks to its drinking water supply and meet requirements directed by the State Water Control Board's Cross-Connection Control Policy Handbook (CCCPH) and described in the City's approved Cross-Connection Control Plan.

Survey will remain open until March 20th, 2026
The City of Solvang is in the process of updating its Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Self-evaluation and Transition Plan. As part of this process, the City is asking for your input by completing this questionnaire which addresses the accessibility of facilities, programs, services, activities and events offered to the public.
The purpose of this survey is to gather information on how City of Solvang programs, services activities or events are, or are not, accessible to persons with disabilities. The goal is that when each program, service, or activity is viewed in its entirety, it is readily accessible to and usable by persons with disabilities.
